Evolution Of Thoughts (Part 2)

It is the spiritual component in our belief and faith that created room for such positive thinking in the boundaries of religion; even we can feel this ongoing conflict within our faith, between spiritual thinking and its conventional thinking. In fact, it worked as a process, though many times after so many scientific inventions, they may appear us weird and unscientific, all of those practices and thinking were the part of an ongoing developmental process of science. For a person in the 15 th century , most of those things what science proved wrong in later times were right. Similarly, for a person living in the first decade of last century (only a hundred years back), the present-day internet is like a miracle. So, what we consider prevalent today will be a miracle a few decades and centuries back. All the scientific achievements have their developmental roots in the hypothesis and theories of yesterday. Many of them proved wrong, and many of them proved right, bu...

Evolution Of Our Spiritual Thought Process

If we consider the vastness of natural developmental history, history of the development of human civilization is tiny, it is only for last few thousand years, in this short span we have created several beliefs and religions, some of them are existing today, and some of them have disappeared. In this process, we can easily hypothesize that science may be a future religion since science in its present form appeared on the landscape of human intelligence only a few hundred years back. Scientifically spirituality and spiritual thinking both are the part of the same process, where several positive or negative thoughts take shape in our brain. Among a broad spectrum of thoughts throughout the day, we have specific thoughts which question the existence of our ‘ Self.' We have questions in front of us ‘Who I am?’; ‘What is life?’; ‘What is the purpose of life?’; ‘What happens to us after death?’; ‘What is the universe?’; ‘Who made this?’; ‘When and how it starts?’; ...

World Health Day - Relevance And Importance Of Spiritual Health

"Health is a complete physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity." This definition of health was adopted by WHO, with its first World Health Assembly meeting held on April 7, 1948. The World Health Day is being celebrated on 7th of April each year since 1950. The aim to celebrate this day internationally appeared to create awareness among people of different nationalities, cultures, regions, and religions about health and making government and other organizations sensitive on the issues and importance of health. Though in most developing and some developed countries the problems and importance of health still cannot get sufficient attention of governments, communities, and people because of many reasons. The present WHO definition of health has many critics, but still, it has widely accepted and standard definition of human health. The modern concept of health evolved with the development of human civilization. We can say...

Defining Our 'Self'

Our ‘Self’ can have many definitions; we cannot say which one is right and which one is wrong, interestingly all the definitions of this will be right. We can define our ‘Self’ in many terms and conditions; we can define it based on our profession, our religious belief, our social relations, our social standing, etc. So, when we try to define our ‘Self,’ it will depend on the situation and our thought process running at that time. So, our definition at two different times may be different. So, we can define our ‘Self’ as “Our thought process what we perceive about us and our existence in a particular condition and a particular situation.” So, in front of my patients, I am a surgeon, in my family, I am a son, husband, and father; in the company of my friends I am Mahesh; during a training session, I am a student. But all these definitions are mostly created by others for me; they are not necessarily my definitions of my ‘Self.’ They are the description of my social relations or socia...

Scilent and Vibrant Nature in Mountains

Nature, especially in the mountains in the Himalayas has all its beauty, vibrancy and silent magnanimity creates a strong sense of mysticism. While on a tracking tour last week from Chopta to Chandarshila, a steep track of about five kilometers at the height of approximately 10,000 to 13,000 feet, with perfect weather conditions, bright sunshine, snow and chilling wind welcomed us. With our slow steps towards the famous Tungnath Temple and Chandrashila peak in Uttarakhand India, we were able to hear our heartbeats in the stillness of calm nature. The blue sky appeared extraordinarily beautiful from mountains with some flying clouds here, and there were visible as if strokes of a painter on the vast canvas of sky. Spirituality in all the forms of spiritual thought processes was just playing its beautiful, awesome games in front of us, in the colossal snow clad Himalayan mountains, it attracts people from all over the globe. The mother nature is the most potent motivator to all types ...

Happiness and bliss is an emotion related to our wellbeing. It can range from a sense of contentment to real joy. Happiness is considered the most mental perception of our wellbeing . Religious concepts define pleasure according to their fundamental beliefs and objectives. The idea of eternal bliss in religions is purely a religious thought process. Eternal bliss is considered the supreme level of happiness, where we can have joy without boundaries. Different reli...
