Environment and Health - A Spiritual Concept of Life and Environment Protection.

Health as it is defined by WHO as "A state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely an absence of a disease or infirmity." is the widely accepted definition of human health. A fourth dimension of "Spiritual Health" is also added to the existing three dimensions namely Physical, Mental, and Social dimensions. If we see this definition, it is a human thought and a concept, which see the human health beyond the body. Naturally, this concept of health cannot exist without a conducive healthy environment. Human health took the center stage in all the discourse of environmental issues, pollution, and climate change. Since life is precious on earth and human life is considered the most evolved form of life, this important fact made human health and environment two inseparable entities and thoughts in collective human consciousness. The spirituality and spiritual thinking, which gave the modern concept of health a completeness also reflected in ...

Concepts Of Positive Energy In Our Thought Processes

#SpiritualHealth Energy is the universe and universe is energy. We can understand it with this simple scientific logic that each and every object living or non-living is made of atoms, and atoms are made up of many subatomic particles, if we peek inside those atoms we will find different strata of energy spinning around a nucleus, we call it atomic energy. It is not possible for the universe to exist without energy. Similarly, life is energy. Plants store energy from the sun and pass it to food chain which runs the life in the animal kingdom. From the strict laws of physics, energy cannot be divided into the categories of positive energy and negative energy, but we have positive and negative impact of energy on our health, social and cultural life. So, that energy which have good results for our health and life, we call it positive energy and if it is adverse then we call it as negative energy. We can understand it with a simple example, suppose somebody run for a distance to d...

Extreme Religiosity Hampers and Obstructs Our Spirituality

YOU CAN BUY THE BOOK "SPIRITUAL HEALTH" HERE #SpiritualHealth Religiosity can potentially change our thoughts to extremist thoughts. In such a situation someone can kill themselves or can kill others. We are witnessing both the circumstances around us globally. When eleven people of one family in Delhi kill themselves on the name of some belief or religious ritual, indeed, it is the transformation of religious thought process into an extreme thought process. It turned into a psychological disorder, which appeared in its cruel forms without any apparent signs and symptoms since religious rituals are considered normal in society, and when we noticed it, it has spoiled many lives. It is evident in all such incidences in the recent past. In our society, we erroneously take religion and spirituality as the same or synonymous. In fact, we follow a religion, belief, cult or guru for spiritual peace and it is their prime duty to nurture and develop our spirit...

Science Can Be A Religion In Future

(You Can Buy "Spiritual Health" written by Dr. Mahesh Bhatt Here) Science is the systemic study of nature. Science is the result of our critical thinking process. It started with our critical thinking ability to look into the different natural processes, and initially, we ended up calling them miracles of nature. So, it pushed us to make room for hypothetical thinking. In this process, we created many possible explanations to understand all that was happening around us, in that process we created many theoretical concepts, including the existence of some supernatural power (God)—people of different faiths name it and imagine it in various forms. All of this was a continuous effort by our brain to know Nature and its functioning. We created many mythological characters that can do what our brain thinks to do. Characters that can treat our illnesses, characters that can fly, characters that can see the things in remote areas, c...

Spiritual Journey Of A Doctor, A Thought On The Occasion Of This Doctors Day.

Being a surgeon and practicing surgery for more than two decades, most of my working hours were full of emotions filled with smiles, sufferings, hope, helplessness, happiness, and tears. We doctors see happiness and smiles with a lot of hope with the birth of a child at one moment and rushing a newborn to a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) next moment. We faced almost all kind of different difficult challenges of life and death entwined with many social, economic and political problems. Most of the time we consider it as a part of our daily professional life, but many times it shakes our scientific, religious and cultural knowledge and beliefs. This unique nature of our work with its urgency and emergency to save the precious human life create a complexness in our natural human thought processes. Health in itself is a complicated issue. In this broader context of health, doctors are supposed to treat the patients and provide advice for prevention, promotion, and maintenance of ...

Evolution Of Thoughts (Part 2)

It is the spiritual component in our belief and faith that created room for such positive thinking in the boundaries of religion; even we can feel this ongoing conflict within our faith, between spiritual thinking and its conventional thinking. In fact, it worked as a process, though many times after so many scientific inventions, they may appear us weird and unscientific, all of those practices and thinking were the part of an ongoing developmental process of science. For a person in the 15 th century , most of those things what science proved wrong in later times were right. Similarly, for a person living in the first decade of last century (only a hundred years back), the present-day internet is like a miracle. So, what we consider prevalent today will be a miracle a few decades and centuries back. All the scientific achievements have their developmental roots in the hypothesis and theories of yesterday. Many of them proved wrong, and many of them proved right, bu...

Evolution Of Our Spiritual Thought Process

If we consider the vastness of natural developmental history, history of the development of human civilization is tiny, it is only for last few thousand years, in this short span we have created several beliefs and religions, some of them are existing today, and some of them have disappeared. In this process, we can easily hypothesize that science may be a future religion since science in its present form appeared on the landscape of human intelligence only a few hundred years back. Scientifically spirituality and spiritual thinking both are the part of the same process, where several positive or negative thoughts take shape in our brain. Among a broad spectrum of thoughts throughout the day, we have specific thoughts which question the existence of our ‘ Self.' We have questions in front of us ‘Who I am?’; ‘What is life?’; ‘What is the purpose of life?’; ‘What happens to us after death?’; ‘What is the universe?’; ‘Who made this?’; ‘When and how it starts?’; ...

World Health Day - Relevance And Importance Of Spiritual Health

"Health is a complete physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity." This definition of health was adopted by WHO, with its first World Health Assembly meeting held on April 7, 1948. The World Health Day is being celebrated on 7th of April each year since 1950. The aim to celebrate this day internationally appeared to create awareness among people of different nationalities, cultures, regions, and religions about health and making government and other organizations sensitive on the issues and importance of health. Though in most developing and some developed countries the problems and importance of health still cannot get sufficient attention of governments, communities, and people because of many reasons. The present WHO definition of health has many critics, but still, it has widely accepted and standard definition of human health. The modern concept of health evolved with the development of human civilization. We can say...

Scilent and Vibrant Nature in Mountains

Nature, especially in the mountains in the Himalayas has all its beauty, vibrancy and silent magnanimity creates a strong sense of mysticism. While on a tracking tour last week from Chopta to Chandarshila, a steep track of about five kilometers at the height of approximately 10,000 to 13,000 feet, with perfect weather conditions, bright sunshine, snow and chilling wind welcomed us. With our slow steps towards the famous Tungnath Temple and Chandrashila peak in Uttarakhand India, we were able to hear our heartbeats in the stillness of calm nature. The blue sky appeared extraordinarily beautiful from mountains with some flying clouds here, and there were visible as if strokes of a painter on the vast canvas of sky. Spirituality in all the forms of spiritual thought processes was just playing its beautiful, awesome games in front of us, in the colossal snow clad Himalayan mountains, it attracts people from all over the globe. The mother nature is the most potent motivator to all types ...

Our Tributes To Stephen Hawking

Stephen Hawking is no more. This news makes his followers all over the world sad. His contribution as a scientist and philosopher helped in creating a different set of thought processes in the collective human consciousness. People all over the globe correlated his scientific thoughts to their personal and religious views. His area of work was that part of our human existence which challenges our human intelligence the most. The two fundamental questions related to our existence are "Where from we came?" and "Where we will go?" These two questions make the basis for all kind of knowledge and theories in religion, philosophies, and science. His work on the theories of the origin of universe, cosmos and its future were his efforts to provide the scientific understanding to these questions to the collective human intelligence. All of us are the part of a continuous ongoing process in the quest for knowledge and searching the answers to these two fundamental question...

Happiness, Bliss and Spiritual Health (Chapter 24, #SpiritualHealth)

Happiness and bliss is an emotion related to our wellbeing. It can range from a sense of contentment to real joy. Happiness is considered the most mental perception of our wellbeing . So, we can say that happiness is a happy mental state. United Nations declared the 20 th March as the ‘International Day of Happiness,' to recognize the social importance of the joy in every sphere of life. Bliss is defined as a state of magnified happiness. It occurs with some personal achievements, contentment, and fulfillment. Bliss is described differently in different faiths and religions as happiness. Biologically bliss and happiness are the products of the same thought processes in our brain. Religious concepts define pleasure according to their fundamental beliefs and objectives. The idea of eternal bliss in religions is purely a religious thought process. Eternal bliss is considered the supreme level of happiness, where we can have joy without boundaries. Different reli...

A Book "Spiritual Health" Written By Dr. Mahesh Bhatt

Spirituality is a highly developed thought process of the human brain, which is there in the coding of our DNA, and which happens because of millions and millions of years of natural evolutionary and developmental mechanism that resulted in the collective human consciousness and collective human intelligence reflected in the concepts of humanity and human values and put the human beings at the apex of the animal kingdom. This is the reason that Spiritual Health is considered as an important dimension of human health. How we can define spirituality and spiritual health in the context of scientific, religious and cultural grounds? How spirituality and religiosity have ambiguities in their definitions and expressions and how they need to be understood in the light of scientific reasoning. How spirituality and spiritual health can act as a good, preventive and promotional tool at individual, local and global levels in all dimensions of our health, social and political pr...
