Spirituality Is Not Complexity, It Is Humanity.

'Spiritual Thought Process' and 'Spirituality' is difficult to define. The definition will depend on our other thought processes of religion, culture, philosophy, and science. Apart from these common traits many personal traits which primarily based on our genetic makeup and they have direct effects on our thought processes will play their role in shaping our definition of Spirituality. So, we can say that we have our own Spiritual Thought Process to define Spirituality which depends on various cultural, religious, social, and personal determinants and makes it complicated. We can simplify the complexity by understanding the evolution of human brain and its different thought processes and development of humanity and human values which happened because of changes in the codes of our DNA as a result of millions of years of evolutionary mechanism. If we look into the simple development of our thought processes in our life, we can easily understand that h...

Evolution Of Our Spiritual Thought Process

If we consider the vastness of natural developmental history, history of the development of human civilization is tiny, it is only for last few thousand years, in this short span we have created several beliefs and religions, some of them are existing today, and some of them have disappeared. In this process, we can easily hypothesize that science may be a future religion since science in its present form appeared on the landscape of human intelligence only a few hundred years back. Scientifically spirituality and spiritual thinking both are the part of the same process, where several positive or negative thoughts take shape in our brain. Among a broad spectrum of thoughts throughout the day, we have specific thoughts which question the existence of our ‘ Self.' We have questions in front of us ‘Who I am?’; ‘What is life?’; ‘What is the purpose of life?’; ‘What happens to us after death?’; ‘What is the universe?’; ‘Who made this?’; ‘When and how it starts?’; ...

Scilent and Vibrant Nature in Mountains

Nature, especially in the mountains in the Himalayas has all its beauty, vibrancy and silent magnanimity creates a strong sense of mysticism. While on a tracking tour last week from Chopta to Chandarshila, a steep track of about five kilometers at the height of approximately 10,000 to 13,000 feet, with perfect weather conditions, bright sunshine, snow and chilling wind welcomed us. With our slow steps towards the famous Tungnath Temple and Chandrashila peak in Uttarakhand India, we were able to hear our heartbeats in the stillness of calm nature. The blue sky appeared extraordinarily beautiful from mountains with some flying clouds here, and there were visible as if strokes of a painter on the vast canvas of sky. Spirituality in all the forms of spiritual thought processes was just playing its beautiful, awesome games in front of us, in the colossal snow clad Himalayan mountains, it attracts people from all over the globe. The mother nature is the most potent motivator to all types ...

Our Tributes To Stephen Hawking

Stephen Hawking is no more. This news makes his followers all over the world sad. His contribution as a scientist and philosopher helped in creating a different set of thought processes in the collective human consciousness. People all over the globe correlated his scientific thoughts to their personal and religious views. His area of work was that part of our human existence which challenges our human intelligence the most. The two fundamental questions related to our existence are "Where from we came?" and "Where we will go?" These two questions make the basis for all kind of knowledge and theories in religion, philosophies, and science. His work on the theories of the origin of universe, cosmos and its future were his efforts to provide the scientific understanding to these questions to the collective human intelligence. All of us are the part of a continuous ongoing process in the quest for knowledge and searching the answers to these two fundamental question...

A Book "Spiritual Health" Written By Dr. Mahesh Bhatt

Spirituality is a highly developed thought process of the human brain, which is there in the coding of our DNA, and which happens because of millions and millions of years of natural evolutionary and developmental mechanism that resulted in the collective human consciousness and collective human intelligence reflected in the concepts of humanity and human values and put the human beings at the apex of the animal kingdom. This is the reason that Spiritual Health is considered as an important dimension of human health. How we can define spirituality and spiritual health in the context of scientific, religious and cultural grounds? How spirituality and religiosity have ambiguities in their definitions and expressions and how they need to be understood in the light of scientific reasoning. How spirituality and spiritual health can act as a good, preventive and promotional tool at individual, local and global levels in all dimensions of our health, social and political pr...

DNA and Spirituality

Spirituality is the highest and most human thought which is produced by our Spiritual Thought Process . DNA also is known as deoxyribonucleic acid, is a complex double helical molecule, which has a coding system based on four bases adenine, thymine, guanine and cytosine. It is the evolution of DNA which makes life possible in present form on earth. It is the vital component of our genes, which brings all the biological information from one generation to next generation. There are two characteristics which differentiate a living system from a nonliving system. First is all living systems can produce energy to sustain them and second is a living system can reproduce itself. DNA and RNA play essential roles in both the situations. Every living animal cell has DNA in its nucleus. In a living system, two different cells of two different systems will have different codes for different functions. Like kidney cells and liver cells in our body will have different codes according to their r...

Our 'Soul'

Yesterday at a presentation I was asked to define 'Soul.' I found difficulty in describing this type of question. Being a surgeon, I face such question many times. I am working on Spiritual Health for last many years, and I found such issues are due to the complexities of our thought process and ambiguities in our understanding. I like to explain these questions on my scientific knowledge and reasonings. Religious answers will be different for different people of different religious beliefs, but scientific reasoning and science will be equal and same for all people of different faiths. This is the reason that I found scientific thought process nearer to spiritual thought process than the religious thought process. We know that every living systems from a unicellular animal like Amoeba to human beings, all have life in their cells. A living system can be defined by its ability to produce energy to sustain it and reproduce it. If any system is unable to do this, it means it...

Diwali In Our Spiritual Thought Process

Today is 'diwali'. Diwali is for the word 'Deepawali' meaning line of lamps 'दीप '. We have many mythological stories behind the reasons to celebrate it, we all know them, one very interesting one is that it was celebrated by the people in ancient Ayodhya, the capital of Lord Rama, when he returned back after exile of fourteen years, after defeating Ravana, the demon king. Apart from this there are some other stories as well, but the above mentioned story is the most famous among the people. Here we are going to discuss regarding the human thought process behind the festivities and festivals. The most interesting and amazing organ in our body is our brain and its thought processes make it very interesting and versatile, since it is our different thought processes which control our conscious mind and intelligence. All our thought processes are the result of very complex reactions of biochemicals and neurotransmitters in our brain. Human brain and human thou...

Definition Of Spiritual Health

We have many definition of spiritual health , all of them have their own ambiguities and shortcomings.  Spiritual health can be defined a s ‘A complete balance of our thought processes, which helps in creating and promoting positive thoughts and control and stop negative thoughts, so that they can create a completely positive health in the form of physical, mental and social well being.’  It can be a practical definition of spiritual health. Our brain is an amazing organ in our body, it has developed in the present form, it took millions and millions of years in this process of evolution and development to make us human beings where it put us apart from other animals, and make us unique in the whole animal kingdom, where we have acquired great power to influence and alter the nature. It is our thought process which we can call as the collective thought process of humanity and human values, is a spiritual thought process. the definition of spiritual health should re...
